Atila is one of the founders of AP2R Consulting and managing partner of the company. He has more than 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, notably in the well construction processes at PETROBRAS since 1980, where he developed a solid professional career as a specialist, teacher and manager in the activity of Drilling Fluids, Completion and Well Stimulation, with national and international operations, until his retirement in 2016.
Systemic vision, compliance and focus on business results associated with the intensive use of technical-scientific knowledge are basic pillars in conducting the processes under its responsibility. Leadership, proactivity, effective communication, analytical and integrated management of the Fluid Project and its intersections with other well construction disciplines characterize its profile and professional performance.
He has deep experience in projects, execution and management related to fluid services required for the construction of oil and gas wells. His intense participation as a professor in the disciplines of fluids in the training and improvement programs for chemists, engineers and geologists, focused on the E&P, allowed his continuous and in-depth development in theoretical and experimental contents, with an operational vision in the engineering of construction of wells, in an integrated and robust way.
As a specialist consultant, he participated in numerous projects for the construction of exploratory and development wells in the different onshore and offshore fields of PETROBRAS in Brazil and abroad. He has an expressive role in the national and international community, accumulating more than 30 technical publications. In the international community, he was recognized as a SPE Distinguished Lecturer featuring his work entitled “New Trends and Challenges on Fluid Design for Well Construction Optimization in Ultra-Deep Waters” in 15 SPE Sections, distributed in countries in America, Africa and Europe in 2007 and 2008.
When Manager of Fluid Technology, he was responsible for managing innovations and implementing new technologies. As a Fluid Service Manager, he was responsible for operational fluid activities for PETROBRAS' offshore activity related to drilling, completion, stimulation, sand control and well maintenance. At that time, he managed a team of approximately 250 employees; Contracts for Fluid Services, Environmental Analysis, Stimulation Boats, Fluiders and 03 Bulk Plants, as well as being one of PETROBRAS' interlocutors, together with IBAMA, in discussions related to the disposal of fluids and cuttings in well construction operations offshore in Brazil.
